Job Overview:
A law firm in Seattle, WA, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in litigation with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in commercial disputes. The attorney will be responsible for representing clients in business disputes, intellectual property (IP) infringement cases, appeals, and administrative hearings. This position offers significant opportunities for trial work, and the successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Some office attendance may be required for select cases.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in various commercial litigation matters, including business disputes, IP infringement, and appeals.

  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other necessary legal documents.

  • Participate in depositions, court appearances, and hearings.

  • Collaborate with team members on complex litigation cases and provide legal guidance.

  • Manage a caseload with a focus on attention to detail and organization.

  • Work with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal solutions.

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Contribute to firm growth through business development and client management.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial litigation.

  • Admission to the Washington State Bar or eligibility for admission.

  • Experience in business disputes and IP infringement cases.

  • Strong knowledge of legal procedures and the ability to manage a variety of litigation matters.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus.

  • Oregon Bar license is beneficial but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Washington State Bar (required).

  • Oregon Bar license is preferred but not required.

Skills:
