Job Title: Law Fellow

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop legal expertise in areas including housing, labor and employment, environmental justice, education, and health.
- Work under the Fair Housing and Foreclosure Prevention Program to assist victims of housing discrimination.
- Ensure communities affirmatively further fair housing, focusing on farmworker communities, unincorporated areas, and underserved areas in California.
- Provide education to first-time homebuyers and existing homeowners to help save homes from foreclosure.
- Investigate allegations of discriminatory or predatory lending and foreclosure practices.
- Collaborate with District Attorneys’ Offices to prosecute scammers targeting clients and client communities.
- Deliver housing education, conduct community outreach, and provide legal representation to ensure fair, accessible, and affordable housing practices.
- Engage in advocacy efforts that have a lasting and multi-generational impact on the lives of clients.
- Sponsor rising or current third-year law students and recent law graduates for external law foundation or law school fellowship programs.
- Host or sponsor fellows from programs like Equal Justice Works and Berkeley Law Foundation.
