Job Title: Complex Claim Specialist - Financial Institutions

Job Responsibilities:
- Recognize exposures and ensure reserving is appropriate and timely.
- Evaluate coverage issues and identify risk transfer opportunities.
- Conduct thorough, independent investigations using available resources such as the internet, PACER, and experts to fill in any gaps in understanding.
- Manage litigation through proper selection, planning, budgeting, and partnership with counsel.
- Exhibit strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Effectively communicate exposures both internally and externally.
- Formulate proper resolution strategies to ensure the best claim outcomes.
- Periodically travel to attend mediations, trials, and other related meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in handling professional liability claims.
- Proficient computer skills required for navigating the paperless claim file system.
- Possesses a high level of technical claim skills and legal knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations, requirements, and priorities.
- Skillful negotiator capable of influencing others without damaging relationships.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- JD / CPCU / RPLU designation preferred.
