Overview

Our Woodland Hills office is seeking a Tax Manager to join our team and provide tax and business advisory services to small business clients. As a manager, you will also have the opportunity to coach and develop a team of talented staff while contributing to the firm's growth and success.

Responsibilities

As a Tax Manager at Baker Tilly, you will:

- Provide various tax, accounting and advisory services to small business clients, overseeing and reviewing accounting records and financial statements
- Act as a trusted business advisor, working directly with clients to find solutions to complex accounting and business challenges
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build strong client relationships
- Plan and lead client engagements, continuously evaluating processes and procedures for efficiency and identifying internal control issues
- Recommend business and process improvements based on client operations and objectives
- Manage client engagement staffing, billing and collections, and ensure profitability targets are met
- Utilize your networking skills to build relationships with clients and the community
- Invest in your professional development and support the growth and development of team members through our Care and Teach philosophy
- Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal tax practices and laws

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, master's or advanced degree preferred
- CPA or JD required
- 5+ years of experience in federal and state tax compliance, accounting and advisory services in a professional services firm
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Strong management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills
- Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, and commit to continuous learning
- Proficiency with software and Microsoft Suite
- Eligibility to work in the . without sponsorship

Salary Information

The compensation range for this role is $88,560 to $191,910. Actual compensation will be influenced by factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and location. This role is also eligible for an annual firm bonus.
