Job Responsibilities:
As a State and Local Tax (SALT) Entry Level Staff, you will play a crucial role in assisting organizations of all sizes in maintaining their financial health through various tax consulting services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing tax consulting services specific to state and local taxes, including income, franchise, sales and use, gross receipts, and personal property taxes.
- Preparing state and local income and franchise tax returns.
- Writing internal and external tax alerts on current tax developments and emerging planning techniques.
- Researching complex tax issues and drafting technical memorandums.
- Developing meaningful interactions with staff at all levels and with a diverse range of clients.
- Deepening your knowledge in state and local tax as well as federal tax.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates applying for the State and Local Tax (SALT) Entry Level Staff position should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting, or a Master’s degree in accounting or tax.
- Academic success, demonstrated by a minimum cumulative GPA of .
- Pursuing an LLM, JD, or CPA license.
- The position is exempt and may require some local, national, and occasional international travel.
Salary Information:
Compensation for this position is commensurate with technical skills and experience and is provided in accordance with applicable state requirements. For specific locations, the monthly base salary ranges are as follows:
- Colorado: $6,
- Illinois: $6,
