Specialized Tax Services - Research & Development Tax - Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead teams and manage client accounts within the specialized tax services department.
- Focus on strategic planning and mentoring junior staff, ensuring their professional growth and development.
- Oversee project success, maintaining elevated standards of quality and delivery to meet client expectations.
- Motivate, develop, and inspire team members, leveraging their unique strengths.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities that contribute to the success of the company.
- Embrace technology and innovation to enhance service delivery and encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of integrity and authenticity, articulating the company's purpose and values in a meaningful way.
- Work closely with clients utilizing the latest technologies and platforms in areas such as lending, digital banking, payments, crypto and blockchain, insurance, and real estate.
- Analyze and identify the linkages and interactions between the component parts of an entire system.
- Take ownership of projects, ensuring their successful planning, budgeting, execution, and completion.
- Partner with team leadership to ensure collective ownership of quality, timelines, and deliverables.
- Address conflicts or issues, engaging in difficult conversations with clients, team members, and other stakeholders, escalating where appropriate.
- Uphold and reinforce professional and technical standards, the company's code of conduct, and independence requirements.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in relevant fields is required.
- CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.

- In-depth knowledge of R&D tax issues and the ability to analyze organizations for R&D tax benefits.
- Technical skills with research credit regulations and experience with R&D databases.
- Proficiency in client relationship management and project workflow and budgeting.

- Proficiency in automation and digitization, along with knowledge of pricing strategies.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $99,000 - $266,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
