Job Title: Corporate Counsel, AWS Legal, Network Infrastructure
Job Responsibilities:
The Corporate Counsel will support Amazon Web Services (AWS), focusing on network infrastructure. Key responsibilities include handling AWS’s subsea and terrestrial network transactions and managing network regulatory and compliance matters. The attorney will identify opportunities for automation and simplification, implementing scalable mechanisms to capitalize on these opportunities. Additionally, the role involves resolving legal issues in commercial relationships and handling pre-litigation legal disputes.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 5 years of legal experience is required.
- The candidate must hold a Juris Doctor degree and be a member of one state bar or its equivalent.
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or an equivalent field is necessary.
- The role requires experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
Preferred qualifications include a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work experience, as well as familiarity with cloud computing, IT infrastructure, and telecommunications.
Salary Information:
The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500 per year in the lowest geographic market to $229,000 per year in the highest geographic market. Pay is determined by several factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. As a total compensation company, Amazon may offer equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of the total package, which also includes a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
