Responsibilities
- Enforce state’s data privacy and cybersecurity laws
- Prosecute cases related to data privacy and cybersecurity
- Assist with enforcement of Colorado Privacy Act
- Manage responses to data breach notifications
- Conduct enforcement activities as necessary
- Investigate possible security and data breach notification violations
- Participate in cutting edge, multi-state investigations
Qualifications
- Recent law school graduates or those graduating law school by Spring 2025
- Strong writing skills
- Intellectual curiosity and passion for public service
- Confidence and ability to ask good and thoughtful questions
- Strong academic record, including GPA or steady improvement during law school
- Commitment to take the Colorado bar exam no later than July 2025 or be a member of the Colorado bar before beginning work

- Writing sample demonstrating legal analysis and abilities (no more than 10 pages)
- Separate application packet for each Fellowship position
- Indicate preferred section(s) in cover letter if applying for LGC Fellowship
Timeline
- Applications open in fall prior to Fellowship start
- First-round and second-round interviews with Fellowship Committee and Department of Law members
- Finalists complete third-round interview with Attorney General
- Offers of employment made in late December or January at latest
