Job Title: Tax Director - Private Companies
Job Responsibilities:

The role involves experiencing the entire business life cycle of a private company, from inception to growth, maturity, and transition. The team is dedicated to helping clients design and implement personalized service plans tailored to privately owned entities, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals. The focus is on key issues such as wealth management, compliance, cash flow management, equity expansion, divestiture, and exit strategies. The company’s Private teams assist entrepreneurs, private business owners, and family enterprises in managing ownership and growth at every stage, in a way that suits their business needs in today's evolving global landscape.
As a Director, the role includes working as part of a team of problem solvers to address complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities at this management level include but are not limited to:

Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 8 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrates thought leader-level knowledge and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in assisting companies to understand and assess tax impacts of business, operations, and transactions in multiple jurisdictions, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, law firm, or corporate tax department of a multinational company. This includes areas such as:
- Applying deep understanding of tax compliance and consulting for various entities, including corporations, partnerships, pass-through entities, and Subchapter S corporations.
- Demonstrating technical prowess with ASC740.
- Identifying and addressing client needs and developing and sustaining client relationships.
- Using networking, negotiation, and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities.
- Preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials.
- Defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collection.
- Leading teams to generate a vision, establish direction, and motivate members.
- Creating an atmosphere of trust, leveraging diverse views, coaching staff, and encouraging improvement and innovation.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $140,900 - $434,000, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
