A highly regarded law firm is seeking a skilled Estate Planning Associate Attorney with a minimum of three years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration. Duties

  • Draft and implement comprehensive estate planning documents, including:

    • Wills and revocable living trusts

    • Durable powers of attorney (financial and healthcare)

    • Irrevocable trusts

    • Charitable trusts

    • Insurance trusts

    • Private foundations

    • Family limited partnerships and LLCs

  • Advise clients on wealth transfer techniques, including succession planning for closely held businesses

  • Prepare and review buy-sell agreements and entity structuring documents

  • Represent trustees, executors, and beneficiaries in trust and estate administration matters

  • Provide counsel on tax planning strategies and prepare estate and gift tax returns (Form 706, 709)

  • Assist with probate administration and post-mortem trust administration

  • Resolve beneficiary disputes and fiduciary duty concerns in estate administration matters

  • Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices to deliver client solutions

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex client matters independently

  • Experience advising high-net-worth individuals and business owners

  • Comfortable working collaboratively across offices and teams

  • Licensed to practice law in Missouri (required)

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited . law school

  • . in Taxation or Estate Planning is a plus, but not required

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in Missouri (required)

  • Admission in other jurisdictions a plus

Skills

  • Deep understanding of federal estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax laws

  • Strong legal drafting and analytical skills

  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts to clients clearly and effectively

  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

  • Client-focused with a commitment to high-quality service
