Duties:

  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their legal needs and provide sound legal advice.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Collaborate with experts to build strong cases and develop strategies.
  • Assist in fact development and conduct depositions, ensuring thorough preparation.
  • Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda with precision.
  • Contribute to the development of case strategy, leveraging insights from experience and research.
  • Maintain high standards of quality in legal work and deliverables.

Requirements:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree with strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.
  • Admitted to practice in Washington state.
  • A minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • A background in science is required, with experience in product liability and complex commercial litigation preferred.
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry is highly desirable.

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Additional degrees such as MD, MPH, PharmD, or a degree in Epidemiology are required.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Washington state.

  • Strong analytical and writing skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to persuade and influence others.
