We are currently seeking candidates with 7+ years of experience in the energy industry, and the position can be located in any of our offices in Wisconsin, Illinois, Utah, Colorado, Texas, North Carolina, or Washington .

Regulatory Experience in Energy Industry

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regulatory matters related to the energy industry, including electricity, utilities, and renewables. This includes experience working with clients in the energy sector on regulatory, legislative, litigation, and transactional matters. Knowledge of regulation at both the state and federal levels, as well as experience representing energy companies in negotiations and power purchase agreements, is highly desired.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a with excellent academic credentials. In addition, candidates should have experience in litigation, regulatory, and legislative matters for the energy and/or extractive industries. For Colorado Applicants:

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Act, the starting salary for associate positions in our Denver office is $190,000, with pay determined based on experience and practice area. Associates are also eligible for Michael Best's associate bonus program and employer-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and accident insurance, and participation in the firm's 401k plan.
