Job Title: Senior Manager - Settlement Administration
Job Responsibilities:
Senior Managers play a pivotal role within the organization by serving as the primary client-facing project management leads and subject matter experts on the projects they oversee. They are responsible for ensuring that the engagements assigned to them by the Director receive the appropriate attention and direction from the Managers, Analysts, and Coordinators under their direct supervision. Their key responsibilities include:
- Team Leadership: Directly managing a team of Managers, Analysts, and/or Coordinators, which may span multiple locations globally. They provide performance feedback, support, and training for professional development, and are responsible for writing and delivering employee reviews. They motivate and enable their team by setting clear objectives and expectations and act as hiring managers to build out teams as necessary, selecting top candidates for roles.
- Client Relationship Oversight: Ensuring that assigned cases are handled appropriately and meet or exceed client expectations. They provide support and guidance, proactively escalating matters to Directors and senior leadership for awareness. They engage directly with clients to define their needs and ensure engagements are handled appropriately and timely.
- Project Management: Directly supervising project teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of project deliverables, key milestones, and tasks. They oversee the adherence to Settlement Agreement terms or other mandates/milestones, drive deadlines with quality outcomes, and take ownership and accountability of overall client delivery.
- Performance Management: Setting billable hour goals and utilization targets for project team members, meeting their own billable hour goals, reviewing key reports to ensure control accuracy, and validating invoicing and case budgets.
- Internal Collaboration: Working internally to meet client needs while fostering internal relationships and team building. They utilize standard processes and systems, support new efforts and approaches, and provide feedback to encourage continuous improvement.
- Effective Decisions: Making well-informed, independent, effective, and timely decisions, perceiving the impact and implications of those decisions on projects and the business. They make thoughtful recommendations to Directors and senior management.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in claims administration, account management, client services, paralegal, and/or project management, preferably with budget responsibility for projects.
- A background in legal, banking, financial services/accounting, or previous class action administration is required.
- Previous leadership experience with basic supervisory duties (hiring, developing, disciplining teams) is necessary.
- PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Paralegal experience or a JD is also highly desirable.
