Job Title: Specialized Tax Services - Research & Development Tax - Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead teams and manage client accounts, focusing on strategic planning and mentoring junior staff.
- Oversee project success and maintain elevated standards while motivating, developing, and inspiring team members.
- Leverage team strengths to meet client expectations and identify opportunities that contribute to the firm's success.
- Embrace technology and innovation in service delivery, fostering a culture of integrity and authenticity.
- Analyze and identify the linkages and interactions between the component parts of an entire system.
- Take ownership of projects, ensuring their successful planning, budgeting, execution, and completion.
- Partner with team leadership to ensure collective ownership of quality, timelines, and deliverables.
- Develop skills outside your comfort zone and encourage others to do the same.
- Effectively mentor others and use the review of work as an opportunity to deepen the expertise of team members.
- Address conflicts or issues, engaging in difficult conversations with clients, team members, and other stakeholders, escalating where appropriate.
- Uphold and reinforce professional and technical standards, the firm's code of conduct, and independence requirements.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience is necessary.
- CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.
- Knowledge of R&D tax issues and skills in analyzing organizations for R&D tax benefits.
- Technical skills with research credit regulations and experience with R&D databases.
- Proficiency in client relationship management, project workflow, and budgeting.
- Leadership in coaching and providing feedback is essential.
- Proficiency in automation and digitization, as well as knowledge of pricing strategies.
Salary Information:
- The salary range for this position is $99,000 - $266,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
- For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
