Job Responsibilities:

Legislative/Operations Intern:
- Conduct research and attend congressional hearings and briefings for legislative staff.
- Log voicemails and organize constituent correspondence.
- Answer constituent calls.
- Work with the operations team.
Scheduling Intern:
- Work directly with the scheduling team to execute the Senator’s daily and long-term schedule.
- Conduct research and attend congressional hearings and briefings for legislative staff.
- Log voicemails and organize constituent correspondence.
- Answer constituent calls.
- Work with the operations team.
- Requires excellent organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office applications, and the ability to complete assignments under tight deadlines.
Press Intern:
- Transcribe various news events, congressional hearings, and interviews.
- Compile daily news clips and conduct research for speechwriting.
- Draft press releases and organize and update media lists.
- Assist with media monitoring and social media content.
- Additional digital skills, especially in graphic design/video production, are a plus.

California District Office Intern:
- Organize and sort incoming mail.
- Assist state staff with constituent casework.
- Answer constituent calls.
- Draft correspondence.
- Help plan advance work.
Education and Experience Information:
- Internship program is open to undergraduate college students and recent college graduates.
Salary Information:
- The internship is paid.
