Job Title: Tax Senior - Federal / Corporate Tax
Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Senior Consultant within the Business Tax Services group, the candidate will play a crucial role in tax engagement teams, offering a variety of tax services relevant to both public and private companies. The key responsibilities include:
- Performing detailed technical reviews of partnership, corporate, and individual federal tax returns, along with reviewing all associated work papers.
- Coordinating with the client’s tax and finance departments to gather data for tax planning and compliance.
- Conducting detailed reviews of income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
- Researching federal tax legislation to understand its impact on compliance and consulting.
- Assisting with various tax consulting projects, which include research and writing projects related to federal tax planning, restructuring, controversy, and accounting for income taxes.
- Managing engagement workflow and supervising tax consultants and interns on assigned engagements.
Education and Experience Information:
Qualifications Required:
- The ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model, requiring US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 – 3 days per week.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work and the clients and industries/sectors served.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Over 3 years of experience in federal taxation.
- Experience in the preparation and review of federal tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
- One of the following active accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain:
- Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
- If not CPA eligible:
- Licensed Attorney
- Enrolled Agent
- Certifications:
- Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA)
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
Preferred Qualifications:
- An advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM.
- Experience working in a virtual and/or global environment.
- A passion for leveraging technology and exploring new technology solutions.
- Experience with accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC740.
- Previous experience with Big 4 or large CPA firms.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
Salary Information:
The wage range for this role considers a variety of factors, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate does not account for the geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. Typically, it is not common for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $66,570 to $151,580.
Additionally, there may be eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the program's rules. Awards, if any, depend on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
