Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 USD annually + bonus + options
Experience: 5+ years of professional experience, with at least 3 years of experience in litigating or managing professional liability claims
Education: Bachelor's degree required; . from an accredited law school preferred

Overview:
Embroker is a technology-driven insurance company that provides commercial insurance tailored to specific industries. They are seeking a Claims Counsel to join their team remotely, with a preference for candidates located in certain states. The Claims Counsel will play a critical role in the company by providing feedback on claim systems and processes, managing a variety of claims, and collaborating with other teams. This position requires a strong understanding of Cyber and Tech E&O claims and a background in professional liability claims management or litigation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct accurate and timely claim investigations into coverage, liability, and damages
- Proactively manage pending claims to achieve timely and cost-effective resolutions
- Evaluate potential exposure on assigned claims and recommend appropriate reserves
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
- Direct and monitor assignments to outside counsel and other vendors
- Participate in settlement negotiations and attend mediations or settlement conferences
- Support data collection efforts and identify emerging claims trends
- Provide user-level feedback to improve claim handling processes and systems
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; . from an accredited law school preferred
- 5+ years of professional experience, with at least 3 years of experience in professional liability claims management or litigation
- Previous experience managing Cyber and/or Tech E&O claims preferred
- Must possess required state claim adjuster license
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Willingness to travel as needed (10-15%)
- Ability to work remotely and cross-culturally
