Job Title: Assistant Attorney General - Prosecutor - Prosecutions - Organized Retail Crime

Job Responsibilities:
The Assistant Attorney General will serve in the Organized Retail Crime Prosecution section of the Prosecution Division within the Department of Law. This role involves prosecuting organized retail crime across the State of Georgia. Key responsibilities include:
- Prosecuting organized retail crime from investigation through trial, which encompasses directing investigations, drafting indictments, filing and litigating motions, examining witnesses, and serving as lead counsel at trial.
- Establishing and maintaining partnerships with retailers to effectively combat organized retail crime.
- Supervising, collaborating with, and providing ongoing training to organized retail crime prosecutors, investigators, and administrative staff.
- Partnering with local and federal prosecutors, law enforcement, and community leaders to enhance the prosecution process of organized retail crime.
- Coordinating and conducting training for law enforcement and related agencies on organized retail crime.
- Reviewing and coordinating search warrants, arrest warrants, and subpoenas for records.
- Collaborating with the White Collar, Human Trafficking, and Gangs Sections on cases involving overlapping elements.

Education and Experience Information:
The minimum qualifications for this position require graduation from an accredited law school and membership in the Georgia Bar in good standing, typically with a minimum of three years or more of experience in the specific area or a related area of law.

Preferred qualifications include:
- Five (5) or more years of litigation or prosecution experience.
- Two (2) or more years of experience prosecuting theft crimes or cyber crimes.

Salary Information:
The salary for this position is commensurate with experience and the year of admission to the bar.
