Job Title: Financial Services Tax - Real Estate Manager
Job Responsibilities:
As a Financial Services Tax - Real Estate Manager, you will be part of a team that helps clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact of tax on their business. This role involves advising clients on their local and international tax affairs, acting as a strategic consultant, and providing guidance on tax implications of deals. You will work with Financial Services clients to navigate complex national and international tax environments, assist with tax structuring, and address challenges in the changing tax world. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing new skills outside of your comfort zone.
- Resolving issues that prevent the team from working effectively.
- Coaching others, recognizing their strengths, and encouraging personal development.
- Analyzing complex ideas or proposals and developing meaningful recommendations.
- Using multiple sources of information to develop solutions.
- Addressing sub-standard work and using data insights to inform decisions.
- Developing a point of view on global trends and their impact on clients.
- Managing diverse viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes.
- Simplifying complex messages and summarizing key points.
- Upholding the company's code of ethics and business conduct.
Additional responsibilities include leading as technology-enabled tax advisors, providing value through digitization, automation, and increased efficiencies. The role requires leveraging technical knowledge, specialization, and industry insights to meet clients' needs.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
- Minimum Years of Experience: 4 years.
- Certifications Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of tax compliance methods and strategy consulting for Real Estate Investment Trusts and Real Estate Partnerships.
- Considerable knowledge of partnership structures, Unrelated Business Taxable Income, and their impact on real estate transactions and tax liabilities.
- Comprehensive technical skills in providing full services to real estate owners, developers, and investors.
- Experience in identifying and addressing client needs, building client relationships, and managing project workflows.
- Demonstrated success as a tax technical business advisor.
- Familiarity with CRM systems.
- Knowledge of automation and digitization in a professional services environment.
- Understanding of alternative fee arrangements and pricing strategies.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is between $98,300 and $266,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
