Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its premier Private Wealth Department based in Los Angeles (Century City). This role is ideal for a legal professional with a minimum of two years of experience in high net-worth estate planning. The ideal candidate will have a client-focused mindset and a strong foundation in estate planning, with additional experience in estate administration and charitable planning considered a plus.
Location:
Los Angeles, CA
Duties:
Advise high net-worth individuals and families on estate planning strategies
Draft complex estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and related instruments
Assist with the administration of large estates and trusts
Provide legal counsel on charitable giving and wealth transfer planning
Work collaboratively with other attorneys, fiduciaries, and financial advisors to execute estate planning goals
Stay informed of federal and state tax laws affecting trusts and estates
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in high net-worth estate planning
Prior experience at a nationally or regionally recognized Trusts & Estates practice
Ability to manage client expectations and maintain strong client relationships
Experience in estate administration and/or charitable planning is a plus
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited . law school
Certifications:
Active bar membership in good standing in California, or eligibility to waive in
Skills:
Excellent legal writing and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Team-oriented with a client-service focus
Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously
