A well-regarded plaintiff-side employment law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with 2 to 7 years of experience in employment litigation. The role offers the opportunity to join a dynamic legal team focused predominantly on wage and hour class actions, with a smaller portion of individual employment claims. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigator looking to deepen their experience in a specialized and growing practice area, with hands-on involvement in all aspects of case development and resolution.

Location:

  • El Segundo, CA

Duties:

  • Litigate wage and hour class actions and individual employment law matters

  • Draft complaints, mediation briefs, class action settlement agreements, and other pleadings

  • Handle all phases of litigation in state and federal courts

  • Conduct and defend depositions

  • Represent clients at court appearances, mediations, and negotiations

  • Provide strategic legal counsel and advocacy to plaintiffs

  • Collaborate with partners and mentor junior associates as needed

  • Manage and settle cases effectively and independently

Requirements:

  • 2 to 7 years of employment litigation experience

  • Strong background in wage and hour class actions

  • Familiarity with California employment laws and court procedures

  • Proven experience in case handling from inception through resolution

  • Ability to engage clients and maintain a high level of professionalism and responsiveness

  • Skilled in legal writing, oral advocacy, and negotiation

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the State of California

Skills:

  • Excellent research, writing, and litigation skills

  • Strong time management and organizational abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team

  • Client-focused approach with superior interpersonal communication

  • Comfortable navigating both state and federal court systems
