Experience:
3-5 years of litigation experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct legal research using tools such as Lexis to support case preparation and strategy development
- Draft litigation documents
- Conduct discovery
- Conduct jury trials
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases
- Communicate with clients and provide updates on case progress
- Attend court hearings and depositions
- Assist with legal writing and document preparation
- Review and analyze legal documents and statutes
- Attend and participate in firm meetings and trainings

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Alaska Bar Association required
- 3-5 years of litigation experience highly preferred
- Prior experience in legal research and writing essential; familiarity with Lexis preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and statutes
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on client interaction
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
