Job Title: Senior Manager, Compliance Advisor - Credit Card

Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Manager, Compliance Advisor - Credit Card plays a crucial role in risk management, serving as part of the second line of defense to ensure that corporate initiatives and processes adhere to relevant laws and regulations. This position operates within the Compliance Management Program framework and is tasked with providing expert compliance advice to various business lines. The Compliance Advisor supports and advises on areas such as Inbound Customer Payments, Credit Card Authorizations, Balance Transfers, and Credit Card Account terms and functionality. Key responsibilities include:

- Offering input on business regulatory requirements.
- Providing guidance on business policies, standards, and procedures.
- Developing and leading training within the department as needed.
- Delivering compliance advice and challenging complex projects effectively.
- Guiding controls over regulatory requirements and monitoring those controls within the business line.
- Identifying potential internal and external risks associated with business initiatives and processes, providing guidance on remediation, and escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintaining expert knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
- Performing and reviewing control assessments for accuracy and adherence to procedures.
- Evaluating compliance impacts from Internal Audit, Regulatory Exams, and self-identified issues.
- Advising business lines on Compliance requirements, including new products, process development, control and monitoring development, remediation of compliance breakdowns, and changes in law or regulation.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of the Compliance Program, including monitoring, reporting, and training.
- Supporting business lines through expert advice and influence on process adjustments.
- Conducting UDAAP validations and reviews.
- Engaging in compliance testing and third-party compliance activities.
- Maintaining an expert understanding of the Compliance Risk Management Framework and relevant laws and regulations.
- Capturing, maintaining, and analyzing compliance data to ensure consistency and adequate Compliance Risk Management.
- Participating in governance activities including Compliance Requirements, Compliance Risk Assessments, Business Change Management, and Issue and Event Management.
- Involvement in reporting activities such as Monthly Business Reviews and Quarterly Compliance Reviews.
- Traveling to various company locations as necessary.

Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in financial services.
- At least 3 years of experience in credit card operations, credit card servicing, credit card systems, or credit card platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 7 years of experience in compliance, risk, legal, or audit roles.
- Master’s Degree or .
- Compliance certifications such as CRCM, ACAMS, or CIPP.

Salary Information:
The salary for this role varies by location:
- Chicago, IL: $155,300 - $177,200 for Compliance Advisor Sr. Manager.
- McLean, VA: $170,800 - $194,900 for Compliance Advisor Sr. Manager.
- Richmond, VA: $155,300 - $177,200 for Compliance Advisor Sr. Manager.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will receive a salary offer reflecting the pay range for that location, as stated in the candidate’s offer letter. This position is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives. Incentives may be discretionary or non-discretionary, depending on the plan.
