Job Title: Asset & Wealth Management - Renewable Energy Tax Senior Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Work within the Financial Services Tax practice to assist clients in meeting their tax obligations while managing the tax implications on their business.
- Advise clients on local and overseas tax affairs, act as a strategic consultant for business analysis, manage working capital, and oversee profit sharing for partners.
- Help organizations understand pricing implications of goods and services between related parties and provide advice on tax implications of deals.
- Assist Financial Services clients in navigating the complex national and international tax environments, including capital requirements, operational tax risks, and tax implications of investments in different jurisdictions.
- Develop innovative tax solutions for renewable energy companies, helping them tackle challenges introduced by the Inflation Reduction Act.
- Lead a team of problem solvers, addressing complex business issues from strategy to execution.
- Encourage open communication within the team, deal effectively with ambiguous problems, and initiate coaching conversations.
- Anticipate stakeholder needs, develop potential solutions, and contribute technical knowledge in the area of specialization.
- Foster an environment where people and technology thrive, navigate the complexities of diverse teams, and build trust through open conversations with teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Uphold the company's code of ethics and business conduct.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Work with some of the world's largest renewable energy companies to develop and implement innovative tax solutions.
- Lead as technology-enabled tax advisors, providing value through digitization, automation, and increased efficiencies.
- Contribute to compliance and consulting for investment partnerships, including hedge funds, mutual funds, and private equity funds.
- Leverage knowledge of fund structuring to limit tax liability and possess in-depth knowledge of alternative investment strategies.
- Utilize tax technical skills, including partnership tax forms, and address client needs related to renewable energy tax matters.
- Innovate through new technologies and digitization solutions, work with large data sets to build models, and leverage data visualization tools.
- Advance pricing strategy through pricing tools and alternative fee arrangements, build and maintain client relationships, and demonstrate success as a tax technical business advisor.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Field(s) of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 5 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of compliance and consulting for investment partnerships.
- Experience with complicated partnership structures and renewable energy industry tax matters such as tax credits and fixed asset depreciation.
- Desire to learn more about the renewable energy industry.
- Experience with automation, digitization, and leading teams in a professional services environment.
- Ability to manage resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, and prepare complex written and verbal materials.
- Experience as a team leader, encouraging diverse views and coaching staff with meaningful feedback.
Salary Information:
- Salary Range: $124,000 - $335,000, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
- Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
