Job Title: Associate Product Counsel, Core+

Job Responsibilities:
- Advise on an evolving portfolio of products and areas within Core, gTech, and the Functions to ensure legal compliance and risk management.
- Identify and solve complex legal issues in areas such as generative AI, privacy, intellectual property (IP), open source, competition, content moderation/safety, accessibility, and consumer protection.
- Provide risk-calibrated guidance to enable compliance with existing and new laws, ensuring that products align with legal standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other legal teams, business teams, and cross-functional partners to offer comprehensive legal support and facilitate the development and deployment of innovative products.
- Proactively assess legal risks associated with disruptive technological innovations and provide creative and practical legal guidance.
- Counsel product teams on the development of cohesive user experiences, data infrastructure, developer tools, counter-abuse measures, privacy infrastructure, and customer support systems.

Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum qualifications include a .
- A minimum of 3 years of attorney-level experience in-house, at a law firm, or in government is required.
- Experience in generative AI, privacy, IP, open source, competition, content moderation/safety, accessibility, or consumer protection is essential.
- Candidates must be admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with product counseling is highly valued.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Capacity to make decisions in an ambiguous environment with imperfect information.
- Skill in managing numerous requests from varied client teams and balancing competing priorities with limited direction.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex issues in writing and in meetings.

Salary Information:
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $210,000-$312,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
- Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, with individual pay influenced by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
