Job Title:
Tax Senior - Credits & Incentives

Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Senior in the Credits & Incentives practice, the primary responsibilities include identifying eligible federal credits and incentives (C&I) generating activities, managing the analysis and documentation of such opportunities, and collaborating with a team to navigate evolving legislation and complete necessary paperwork. Key duties involve:
- Managing federal credits and incentives opportunities, including analyses for Research and Development tax credits/deductions, New Markets Tax Credit, Qualified Opportunity Zones, Sustainability and Renewable Energy tax credits, and other federal credit incentive services.
- Delivering value to clients by identifying opportunities and advising them on potential benefits and eligibility requirements.
- Maintaining and developing strong internal and client relationships.
- Leveraging extensive technical skills in a given industry/service offering to solve complex issues.
- Demonstrating sound judgment and instincts in evaluating complex scenarios involving various credits and incentives opportunities.
- Developing, mentoring, and motivating Consultants, providing counseling and career guidance.
- Identifying potential issues and proposing solutions to leadership, along with implementing process improvement strategies.
- Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of engagement deliverables, such as presentation decks, executive summaries, credit calculations, completed tax forms, supporting files, memoranda, and IRS audit responses.
- Monitoring legislative and regulatory tax developments and working with the team to present potential opportunities to assist clients.

Education and Experience Information:
Required:
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model, requiring US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2–3 days per week.
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on work and client needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a related field.
- Proven knowledge of R&D tax incentives and/or experience with New Markets Tax Credits, Qualified Opportunity Zones, or Renewable Energy tax credits.
- Demonstrated analytical and research skills, along with effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and develop internal and external working relationships.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple, competing priorities.
- One of the following accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
- If not CPA eligible:
- Licensed attorney
- Enrolled Agent
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA)
- Professional Engineer

Preferred:
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM.
- Experience with tax technical research (., CCH, Hein, Lexis, RIA, etc.).
- Experience with Federal or State and Local C&I.
- Experience with sustainability technologies or environmental sciences.
- Previous experience with Big 4 or large CPA or law firms.

Salary Information:
The wage range for this role accounts for various factors considered in making compensation decisions, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications. The disclosed range estimate is $66,570 to $151,580. At the company, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. Additionally, candidates may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including individual and organizational performance.
