Summer internships at the **Members Only** offer a unique opportunity for college students to gain valuable experience in the legislative process and federal government. With sessions available year-round, interns have the chance to learn from and work closely with staff members in both state and DC offices.
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge about how a Senate office operates and provides constituent services. This includes interacting with the community and serving as a liaison to the Washington, . office. You will also have the chance to work closely with legislative, communications, and constituent services staff, gaining valuable insight into the legislative process and federal government.
Academic credit is available for interns in the DC office, and is not a requirement for state office interns. However, in order to intern in one of the state offices, you must be receiving academic credit. This internship program is open to all college students, regardless of major, who have completed at least two years of college work prior to their internship. Candidates must also either be a . citizen or legally in the .
