Job Title: Financial Services Tax - Real Estate Senior Manager
Job Responsibilities:
A career in the Financial Services Tax practice, within Corporate Tax services at the company, involves helping clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact of tax on their businesses. The role requires advising clients on local and overseas tax affairs and acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. The Senior Manager will assist organizations in understanding the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties and provide advice on the tax implications of deals. The position involves navigating the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment, managing operational tax risks, and addressing tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions. Key responsibilities include:
- Encouraging team members to voice opinions and inviting input from all, including quieter members.
- Effectively dealing with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations.
- Initiating open and candid coaching conversations at all levels.
- Balancing big-picture thinking with managing relevant details.
- Anticipating stakeholder needs and developing potential solutions proactively.
- Contributing technical knowledge in the area of specialization.
- Fostering an environment where people and technology thrive together.
- Navigating the complexities of cross-border and/or diverse teams and engagements.
- Building trust through open conversations with teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Additional Responsibilities:
The role involves leading as technology-enabled tax advisors who provide value through digitization, automation, and increased efficiencies. The Senior Manager will leverage technical knowledge, specialization, and industry insights to solve clients’ needs. Responsibilities also include:
- Providing full services to real estate owners, developers, and investors, including publicly traded REITs, institutional real estate funds, and privately held real estate entities.
- Identifying and addressing client needs, managing client relationships, and participating in community involvement.
- Managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections.
- Preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
- Supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust and encouraging improvement and innovation.
- Coaching staff by providing timely, meaningful written and verbal feedback.
- Developing new relationships and making introductions to sell new services with a "One Firm" service mindset.
- Innovating through new and existing technologies and experimenting with digitization solutions.
- Working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools to provide insights to clients.
- Utilizing digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements.
- Advancing pricing strategy through the use of pricing tools and influencing a shift to alternative fee arrangements.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 5 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Intimate knowledge of tax compliance methods and strategy consulting for Real Estate Investment Trusts and Real Estate Partnerships.
- Considerable knowledge of partnership structures and their impact on real estate transactions and corresponding tax liabilities.
- Comprehensive technical skills including providing full services to real estate owners, developers, and investors.
- Considerable experience in identifying and addressing client needs, managing client relationships, and participating in community involvement.
- Demonstrates success as a tax technical business advisor and familiarity with a CRM system.
- Knowledge of automation and digitization in a professional services environment.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $119,300 - $328,000, with the potential for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
