Job Title: Export Controls & Sanctions - Manager

Job Responsibilities:
The role of Export Controls & Sanctions Manager at the company involves several key responsibilities aimed at helping clients manage their national security regulatory compliance obligations. The manager will be part of the Cybersecurity, Privacy and Forensics team, working on strategic programs, data analytics, innovation, deals, cyber resiliency, response, and technical implementation activities. The primary responsibilities include:

- Solving complex business issues from strategy to execution, while developing existing and new skills.
- Acting to resolve issues that prevent effective team working during times of change and uncertainty.
- Coaching others and encouraging them to take ownership of their development.
- Analyzing complex ideas or proposals and building a range of meaningful recommendations.
- Using multiple sources of information, including broader stakeholder views, to develop solutions and recommendations.
- Addressing sub-standard work or work that does not meet the firm's/client's expectations.
- Developing a perspective on key global trends, including globalization, and how they impact the firm and its clients.
- Managing a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.
- Focusing on building trusted relationships and upholding the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
- Designing and conducting assessments on the effectiveness of export controls and trade sanctions compliance program-related processes, procedures, controls, and technologies.
- Overseeing and reviewing the development of export controls and trade sanctions processes and controls, including policies, procedures, and manuals.
- Supporting on-demand consulting services related to export controls and trade sanctions inquiries from clients.
- Overseeing managed services teams to help clients address regulatory challenges in areas like restricted party screening and export classification.
- Working with other internal specialized teams across subject matter areas and global locations to deliver on client requests.
- Supporting and driving business development activities.
- Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of US export controls and trade sanctions regulatory requirements, frameworks, and expectations.
- Possessing knowledge of the international trade environment and complexities.
- Building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement.
- Communicating value propositions and managing resource requirements, project workflow, and project economics.
- Analyzing client internal control practices and evaluating client compliance with export controls and trade sanctions regulatory requirements.
- Supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust, seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation.
- Coaching staff, providing timely, meaningful written and verbal feedback.
- Developing new relationships, making introductions to sell new projects/services with a "One Firm" inclusive service mindset.
- Innovating through new and existing technologies, experimenting with digitization solutions, and utilizing digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements.

Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Minimum Years of Experience: 6 years

Required Knowledge/Skills:
- Export controls/sanctions/other regulatory certifications (., ECoP; CGSS); other National Security regulatory background (., former Government or industry roles with a focus in trade compliance).

Salary Information:
The salary range for the Export Controls & Sanctions Manager position is $100,000 - $232,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
