Overview:
The Manager, Compliance at Capital One plays a crucial role in risk management, ensuring that corporate initiatives and business processes comply with relevant laws and regulations. Working within the Compliance Management Program framework, the Compliance Advisor Manager delivers high-quality results, serves as a subject matter expert, and participates in various corporate processes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct deep dive analysis on compliance-related risks
- Review business policies, standards, procedures, and training materials
- Interact with Compliance advisors/testers to challenge processes and controls
- Engage with subject matter experts to understand business processes and data
- Manage and coordinate projects across multiple business lines
- Prioritize workstreams and deliverables for timely completion
- Present analysis and insights to the Compliance Leadership Team
- Provide thought leadership in effectively challenging compliance deep dives
- Review and provide guidance on complaints generated by lines of business
- Identify trends in process data and advise on emerging risks
- Maintain expertise in applicable laws and regulations
- Review controls and assessments for accuracy and adherence to test procedures
- Actively participate on complex projects and provide guidance and effective challenge
- Stay up-to-date with Compliance Risk Management Framework and laws and regulations
- Assist in capturing, maintaining, and analyzing compliance data
- Flexibility to travel to various Capital One locations as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or military experience
- At least 5 years of experience in compliance, legal, audit, or risk management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree, Juris Doctor, or other graduate degree
- Understanding of relevant laws and regulations such as FCRA, Regulation E, and NACHA requirements
- Experience supporting and interacting with internal business clients
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Management (CRCM) or Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certifications
- Proficient in Google Workspace (formerly G Suite)
Salary Information:
- McLean, VA: $146,100 - $166,700 for Compliance Advisor Manager
- Plano, TX: $132,800 - $151,600 for Compliance Advisor Manager
- Richmond, VA: $132,800 - $151,600 for Compliance Advisor Manager
