Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a mid-level associate attorney to join its nationally recognized Corporate Healthcare Practice. This role focuses on representing healthcare clients through complex strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, healthcare-focused private equity, venture capital investments, and joint ventures. The firm’s healthcare team serves clients ranging from hospitals and provider systems to health tech startups, insurers, and investors. Location:

Duties:

  • Advise healthcare clients on mergers, acquisitions, private equity, and joint venture transactions

  • Assist with corporate formations, reorganizations, and operational strategies

  • Draft and negotiate complex transaction and organizational documents

  • Conduct legal research and analysis in support of strategic deal planning

  • Work collaboratively with partners and team members across practice groups

  • Support clients throughout their full corporate life cycle

  • Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and third-party interactions

  • Contribute to firm knowledge-building, training, and business development initiatives

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience handling M&A, private equity, and/or joint ventures

  • Experience advising healthcare clients or working within healthcare-focused transactions preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to manage transactional matters and communicate directly with clients

  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working in a team-based, fast-paced environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited . law school

  • Outstanding academic credentials required

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in the state corresponding to the office location

  • Member in good standing with the applicable State Bar

Skills:

  • Exceptional drafting, research, and analytical skills

  • Strong oral and written communication abilities

  • High attention to detail with ability to manage complex matters

  • Ability to handle client relationships and balance multiple projects

  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory considerations is a plus
