We are currently seeking a Director with deep international tax expertise to join our growing International Tax M&A practice.

Responsibilities

As a Director in the Global Transaction Tax team, you will be working with experienced partners, senior directors, and teams in the United States and globally on complex international tax matters. Your role will involve performing due diligence, reviewing financials and tax documents, providing expert advice on deal structures, and staying updated on developments in US international tax. Some of your specific responsibilities will include:

- Performing due diligence, including reviewing US tax returns, financials, and other tax documentation to evaluate potential US international tax risks and opportunities
- Summarizing identified risks and opportunities in a commercial manner
- Reviewing and commenting on US international tax aspects of financial models and purchase agreements
- Coordinating with federal, transfer pricing, and non-US tax team members to deliver high-quality work
- Providing expert advice on US international tax implications of deal structures, financing arrangements, repatriation issues, and treaty implications
- Assisting with the design and implementation of comprehensive global tax restructurings and planning
- Staying updated on developments in US international tax and contributing to thought leadership initiatives through publications, presentations, and industry forums
- Building relationships with clients and across Tax and the rest of A&M

Qualifications

- CPA, JD (with a bachelor's degree in accounting, preferred), or LLM required
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in a mergers & acquisitions tax practice at a Big 4 firm, Big Law firm, or similar firm
- At least 4 years of experience in US international tax
- Strong writing, analytical, research, excel, and organizational skills
- Strong communication, presentation, project management, and business development skills
- Strong sense of personal motivation as well as the ability to work with a team
- Ability to work in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment

Salary Information

The salary range for this position is $165,000 - $200,000 annually, dependent on several factors such as education, experience, skills, and location. A&M also offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Please consult your recruiter for more details.
