Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a qualified attorney to join its Kansas City office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, with a preference for labor and employment law expertise. Duties:

  • Represent clients in labor and employment matters, including litigation, mediation, and negotiations.

  • Provide legal advice on complex employment-related issues to clients across various industries.

  • Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.

  • Advise clients on compliance with state and federal labor laws, including wage and hour regulations, discrimination laws, and workplace safety.

  • Participate in client meetings, conferences, and strategic planning.

  • Conduct legal research and keep clients informed of developments in labor and employment law.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of litigation experience.

  • Labor and employment law experience preferred.

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas.

  • Excellent academic credentials and a strong legal background.

  • Ability to handle complex legal issues and work independently.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas.

Skills:

  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills.

  • Knowledge of labor and employment laws at the federal and state levels.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective solutions.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
