Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a qualified attorney to join its Kansas City office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, with a preference for labor and employment law expertise. Duties:
Represent clients in labor and employment matters, including litigation, mediation, and negotiations.
Provide legal advice on complex employment-related issues to clients across various industries.
Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Advise clients on compliance with state and federal labor laws, including wage and hour regulations, discrimination laws, and workplace safety.
Participate in client meetings, conferences, and strategic planning.
Conduct legal research and keep clients informed of developments in labor and employment law.
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of litigation experience.
Labor and employment law experience preferred.
Must be licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas.
Excellent academic credentials and a strong legal background.
Ability to handle complex legal issues and work independently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas.
Skills:
Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of labor and employment laws at the federal and state levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective solutions.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
