Job Title: Counsel, Capital Markets
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the capital markets and finance teams to support their legal and strategic needs.
- Address issues as they arise and provide legal and strategic guidance to assess and mitigate legal risks.
- Build a deep understanding of the business and collaborate with legal colleagues and internal clients.
- Take ownership of increasingly complex agreements within larger finance structures.
- Support other team members in addressing issues as they arise.
- Negotiate increasingly complex debt deals and related agreements.
- Adapt to various legal and business challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience Information:
- . degree with solid academic credentials.
- State bar membership required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience at a top-tier law firm, financial institution, or regulator with experience in structured finance deals.
- Self-starter who thrives under limited direction and is excited by challenges.
- Eager to develop expertise in new or unfamiliar areas of law.
- Adaptability and willingness to be flexible.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong law firm training.
- Well-organized with broad knowledge of financial regulations and market practices.
- NY or CA bar membership preferred.
Salary Information:
The anticipated base salary for the position of Counsel, Capital Markets at the company is expected to be within the range of $143,000—$198,000 USD.
