Overview:
The Office of Staff Counsel for the . Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals is currently seeking a highly qualified graduate of an accredited law school to serve as a staff attorney to the full court. This is a permanent, full-time position with onsite requirements and the potential for some telework after a designated period. The office currently consists of sixteen attorneys and two support staff, and the selected candidate will join a team of dedicated legal professionals in providing high-quality legal services to the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on a variety of complex and challenging issues
- Draft memoranda, opinions, and orders for the judges of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals
- Assist judges in preparing for oral arguments and hearings
- Attend conferences and meetings with judges to discuss cases and legal issues
- Collaborate with other staff attorneys and support staff to provide comprehensive legal services to the court
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited law school
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to handle a high volume of complex and challenging legal cases
- Prior experience in a federal appellate court or similar legal setting is preferred
Salary and Benefits:
