Job Title: Tax Manager - Private Wealth
Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Manager in the Private Wealth Tax practice, the candidate will be responsible for high-level reviews of tax research concerning individual, fiduciary, partnership, closely-held corporations, estate, and gift work papers and tax returns. The role includes preparing and leading client meetings on compliance and consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities and the tax implications of transactions to the client. The Tax Manager will also train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors. The candidate will start taking on lead client-contact roles, managing billing and profitability analysis on engagements, and engaging in marketplace eminence building and pursuits.
Education and Experience Information:
Required qualifications include the ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires . Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2–3 days per week and the ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work and clients served. The candidate must have more than 5 years of public accounting experience, with at least 3 years in investment management. One of the following accreditations must be obtained: Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA, Licensed attorney, or Enrolled Agent. Certifications such as Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) are also required. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field is necessary. Experience reviewing partnership and/or trust documents, managing projects including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing, and possessing strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential. Excellent research and writing skills are also required.
Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree such as an MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM, prior Big 4 or large CPA firm experience, and knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting.
Salary Information:
The wage range for this role considers a wide range of factors in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,660 to $213,200. Additionally, candidates may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, where an award, if any, depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
