Federal Tax Manager, Alternative Investments - Remote Option

KPMG is seeking a Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice. This is a remote position with the option to work from home.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee client portfolios within the alternative investment fund industry (private equity, real estate, and/or hedge funds)
- Act as the main point of contact for internal and external clients
- Manage teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects
- Analyze tax impact of rules and law changes, develop tax arguments, and make recommendations to clients
- Monitor risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and budgeting
- Deliver high-quality tax services to clients
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of recent tax experience in the alternative investment industry
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Licensed CPA, EA, or JD/LLM (or other approved credentials by KPMG)
- Proficient in taxation of partnerships and tiered investment fund structures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
