Job Title: Spring Internship

Job Responsibilities:
Interns in Congressman Cohen's office are tasked with a variety of duties that provide an immersive experience into the workings of Congress and Washington, . Their responsibilities include:
- Answering phones and managing communications with constituents and other stakeholders.
- Greeting visitors and providing them with necessary assistance and information.
- Opening and sorting mail to ensure timely and appropriate responses.
- Attending congressional hearings and meetings to gain insights into legislative processes and assist with necessary follow-ups.

Education and Experience Information:
The internship is primarily targeted at college students or recent graduates who are looking to gain firsthand experience in the political and legislative environment of Capitol Hill. Although it is not mandatory for applicants to be residents of the Ninth Congressional District of Tennessee, familiarity with Tennessee, particularly the Volunteer State, is significantly considered during the application process. This criterion is important as it may influence the intern's ability to relate to and engage with the issues pertinent to the district.
