Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a Junior Real Estate Lending Associate Attorney to join its Real Estate team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position focuses on representing financial institutions in real estate and asset-based lending transactions, particularly loan originations. Ideal candidates will have foundational experience in transactional real estate matters and be motivated to work with a diverse client base ranging from financial institutions to developers.

Location:

Duties:

  • Represent financial institutions in real estate and asset-based lending transactions

  • Draft and negotiate loan documents for real estate secured transactions

  • Assist in loan originations and due diligence reviews

  • Review title, survey, and other closing-related documentation

  • Represent clients in purchase, sale, and financing transactions related to real estate assets

  • Support senior attorneys with complex lending and collateral matters

  • Communicate with clients regarding transactional progress and compliance

  • Coordinate and manage closings

  • Maintain organized case files and meet deadlines efficiently

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of experience in real estate lending and loan origination

  • Prior experience representing financial institutions is essential

  • Background in representing developers in real estate transactions is preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and prioritize tasks

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active member of the North Carolina State Bar

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing, research, and drafting capabilities

  • Excellent communication and client service skills

  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines

  • Familiarity with real estate title, survey review, and financing documentation
