A law firm is offering an exceptional opportunity for a litigation attorney with a background in commercial defense to pivot into a more purpose-driven practice. This role is ideal for lawyers who have built strong litigation foundations but are now seeking work with broader social impact. Attorneys will join a collaborative and growing legal team dedicated to consumer protection and group advocacy efforts against unlawful corporate conduct.
Handle a range of plaintiff-side disputes, including fraud, unfair business practices, consumer misrepresentation, and group litigation.
Oversee all phases of case management, from intake and strategy development to discovery, motion work, and pre-trial preparation.
Work with team members to investigate patterns of corporate misconduct and develop multi-claimant or representative actions.
Draft complaints, discovery responses, and motions in both state and federal court systems.
Participate in client communications, expert collaboration, and settlement discussions in complex civil matters.
Coordinate with internal litigation support and external partners to manage high-volume dockets efficiently.
3 to 6 years of civil litigation experience, ideally from a defense-oriented commercial practice or similar setting.
Strong desire to transition into plaintiff-side litigation with a focus on class actions or public protection law.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple active cases with autonomy and sound judgment.
Prior experience handling discovery disputes, dispositive motions, and case strategy is essential.
Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited . law school.
Active membership in the California State Bar or immediate eligibility for admission.
Excellent written advocacy and persuasive communication skills.
