Job Title: Tax Provision Manager - Tax Accounting & Risk Advisory Services (TARAS)

Job Responsibilities:
The Tax Provision Manager in the Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) practice is responsible for assisting companies with all aspects of their financial reporting for income taxes. This includes tax accounting, tax provision procedures, and controls design and testing. The role involves working closely with leaders to serve companies needing assistance with tax accounting for transactions or their ongoing tax provision process. Key responsibilities include:

- Providing clients with tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning, including internal restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions from US GAAP to IFRS or IFRS to US GAAP, share-based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts.
- Assisting companies with all aspects of their preparation of the tax provision.
- Reviewing the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy and enhance the control environment.
- Assessing tax risk and control environments, inclusive of and beyond the boundaries of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.
- Engaging in tax accounting projects and consulting, process and controls enhancement, and key risks identification, prioritization, monitoring, and remediation.

Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the role, candidates must have:

- A bachelor's degree in a related field, supported by significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM is preferred.
- A valid US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active state bar membership.
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRS.
- A broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation.
- Strong analytical skills, written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- The ability to travel 50% or more and work on out-of-town projects.

Ideally, candidates will also have:

- Strong ASC 740 and/or IAS 12 experience as well as experience in corporate tax planning and compliance.
- Relevant tax experience or equivalent experience in business or industry with a broad exposure to federal income taxation.

Salary Information:
The salary for the Tax Provision Manager position is competitive. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $102,600 to $188,000. For the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the base salary range is $123,100 to $213,700. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Additionally, the Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
