Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced M&A Attorney with over 5 years of law firm experience to join its leading Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) practice. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on sophisticated M&A transactions, handling everything from drafting and negotiating key documents to managing client relationships and supervising junior associates. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and experienced attorney to contribute to a high-performing team while engaging in complex regional, national, and international M&A matters.

Location:
Raleigh, North Carolina

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate definitive agreements and ancillary documents for M&A transactions
  • Manage the overall deal process and client relationships, ensuring smooth and timely execution
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates, providing guidance on legal issues and transaction details
  • Handle day-to-day demands and workflows related to various M&A matters
  • Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on M&A-related issues and deal structures
  • Work collaboratively with other attorneys and practice groups to support large-scale transactions
  • Engage in due diligence, structuring, and closing of M&A deals
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, external parties, and colleagues throughout the transaction process

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in M&A law at a law firm
  • Proven experience with drafting and negotiating key M&A documents
  • Experience managing M&A deal processes and client relationships
  • Supervisory experience with junior associates and the ability to manage teams effectively
  • Ability to handle complex M&A transactions and provide strategic advice to clients
  • NC Bar admission or ability to waive in preferred
  • Strong academic background, including undergraduate and law school achievements
  • Excellent written, analytical, and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • NC Bar admission or ability to waive in

Skills:

  • Expertise in M&A transactions, including due diligence, drafting, and negotiations
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Ability to manage complex workflows and client demands
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working on cross-border M&A deals is a plus
