Job Overview:
A well-established law firm specializing in creditors' rights is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its Louisiana legal team. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of matters, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, and replevin, for financial institutions and mortgage servicing clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal writing, litigation, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage high-volume caseloads in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Location:

  • Metairie, Louisiana

Duties:

  • Handle residential foreclosure, replevin, and bankruptcy matters on behalf of financial institutions

  • Review and analyze loan documents, correspondence, and legal filings

  • Draft pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery documents

  • Represent clients in court, including video and in-person hearings

  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies

  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

  • Supervise and collaborate with legal support staff to maintain compliance and efficiency

  • Contribute to legal team initiatives and meet quality and timeliness standards

  • Support firm compliance and ethics programs

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Louisiana

  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience preferred (all applications will be considered)

  • Experience in creditors' rights, foreclosure, and/or bankruptcy is a plus

  • Federal court and multi-state licensure (OK, FL) is desirable but not required

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in Louisiana (Required)

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing abilities

  • High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative legal environment

  • Effective oral and written communication

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems
