Job Title: Senior Ad Policy Manager, Advertising Trust Policy
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Ad Policy Manager is responsible for owning and managing full policy sets related to Amazon's advertising efforts. This includes the creation, management, and ongoing monitoring of policies, ensuring they are effectively communicated and implemented technically. The role involves:
- Clearly communicating risks associated with policies to internal stakeholders and senior leadership to build consensus and understanding.
- Collaborating with product teams by creating business requirement documents to ensure ad products comply with policy standards.
- Building strong, collaborative relationships across various teams, including other policy teams, the Sales organization, Legal, PR, Public Policy, and other business units to support policy management.
- Supporting high-risk and high-impact escalations in partnership with moderation and tiered support teams.
- Developing an understanding of ad tech systems, including Amazon's, to inform policy work and influence product managers and leadership.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 7+ years of experience in content moderation, ad tech, product policy, advertising policy, or related roles with a policy focus.
- Experience in collaborating effectively with Public Relations, Legal, and Public Policy teams, especially in high-stakes environments.
- Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional groups in a matrixed organization.
- Experience in managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior management.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to earn trust at all levels, including leadership.
- Capable of making complex decisions even when data is insufficient.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree, law degree, or MBA is preferred.
- Proven experience driving engineering projects.
- Experience working with metrics and data analysis.
- Experience in digital advertising in a regulatory position.
- Experience with creative acceptance policies, advertising standards, or a related field.
Salary Information:
The compensation for this position reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay ranges from $124,600/year in the lowest geographic market to $206,100/year in the highest geographic market. Pay is contingent on factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. As a total compensation company, Amazon may offer equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of a comprehensive compensation package, which may include a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
