The EY CTORS Tax Services team provides tax advisory, compliance and reporting services to financial services clients across all industries. As a Tax Manager, you will work with a team of professionals to provide high-quality tax services to clients. Through your experiences, you will develop your skill sets and learn how CTORS requirements are managed within large to medium size companies.
Job Title: Tax Manager - Financial Services - Customer Tax Operations and Reporting
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant tax consulting or tax operational experience
Salary: Competitive, with base salary range of $128,200 to $235,100 in all geographic locations in the US and $153,900 to $267,100 in New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento)
Location: New York (primary), with possibility to work remotely from anywhere in the US

As a Tax Manager, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging information reporting and withholding engagements in the financial services, banking, insurance, and multinational sectors. This role offers a chance to specialize in US tax information reporting and withholding matters and work with a diverse range of clients to solve complex challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tax advisory and compliance services to financial services clients across all industries
- Work in a team environment on challenging information reporting and withholding engagements
- Assist clients in understanding relevant tax rules and implementing changes to their operations, processes, and systems
- Conduct a gap analysis of clients' current policies, procedures, and systems and write business requirements
- Prepare documentation, including presentations and flow charts
- Support the development of innovative technology solutions and train and manage staff
- Interface with superiors, peers, subordinates, and clients on large and small projects
- Interpret IRS Code and Regulations, draft guidance, and conduct data analysis

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and ., . in Taxation, and/or Master's in Taxation (MST) preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant tax consulting or tax operational experience
- Licensed attorney, CPA, Project Management Professional, Six Sigma, Lean or equivalent certification, or a certified member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, or have the ability to obtain one of these designations
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
- Active participation in industry groups such as SIFMA, ABA, IIB
- Experience understanding and implementing tax rules
- Demonstrated interest in tax information reporting and withholding work in Chapter 3, Chapter 4, and Chapter 61 or some experience working with these matters
