Job Title: Tax Senior - Credits & Incentives

Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Senior in the Credits & Incentives (C&I) practice, you will manage and facilitate the identification and documentation of federal C&I generating activities, a task that requires an in-depth understanding of complex legislative areas. This role involves working closely with a passionate and experienced team, engaging in proactive collaboration with colleagues across various departments including Tax, Advisory, Consulting, and Audit and Assurance. Key responsibilities include:

- Managing opportunities related to federal credits and incentives such as Research and Development tax credits, New Markets Tax Credit, Qualified Opportunity Zones, Sustainability and Renewable Energy tax credits, among others.
- Delivering value to clients by identifying potential benefits and advising on eligibility requirements.
- Developing and maintaining strong internal and client relationships.
- Leveraging technical skills to address complex issues and demonstrating sound judgment in evaluating scenarios involving various credits and incentives opportunities.
- Mentoring and motivating Consultants, providing career guidance and counseling.
- Identifying potential issues, proposing solutions to leadership, and implementing process improvement strategies.
- Ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of engagement deliverables, including presentation decks, executive summaries, credit calculations, completed tax forms, supporting files, memoranda, and IRS audit responses.
- Monitoring legislative and regulatory tax developments and working with the team to present opportunities to assist clients.

Education and Experience Information:
Required qualifications for this position include:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related field.
- Proven knowledge of R&D tax incentives or experience with New Markets Tax Credits, Qualified Opportunity Zones, or Renewable Energy tax credits.
- Demonstrated analytical and research skills, along with effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and develop internal and external working relationships.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- One of the following accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain:
- Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
- Licensed attorney
- Enrolled Agent
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA)
- Professional Engineer

Preferred qualifications include:

- An advanced degree such as a Master’s of Tax, JD, and/or LLM.
- Experience with tax technical research tools such as CCH, Hein, Lexis, RIA, etc.
- Experience with Federal or State and Local C&I.
- Experience with sustainability technologies or environmental sciences.
- Previous experience with a Big 4 or large CPA or law firm.

Salary Information:
The wage range for this role considers various factors, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range is $66,570 to $151,580. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. Additionally, you may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, where an award, if any, depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Additional Information:
Applicants should be able to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 – 3 days per week and be willing to travel up to 25% on average. The position is available in 33 locations, and recruiting for this role ends on May 29, 2026.
