Job Title: Tax Senior Manager - Personal Financial Services
Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Senior Manager in the Personal Financial Services practice, the primary responsibilities include helping private companies with business advisory needs such as audit, tax compliance, and planning to improve operational efficiency. The role involves experiencing the business life cycle from inception to growth, maturity, and transition, while assisting clients in developing and implementing plans to achieve personal wealth goals. Key responsibilities include:
- Encouraging team participation and inviting opinions from all members.
- Addressing ambiguous and unstructured problems effectively.
- Initiating open coaching conversations at all levels.
- Balancing big picture thinking with managing relevant details.
- Anticipating stakeholder needs and developing potential solutions proactively.
- Contributing technical knowledge in the area of specialization.
- Fostering an environment where people and technology collaborate effectively.
- Navigating complexities of cross-border or diverse teams and engagements.
- Building trust through open conversations with teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Upholding the company's code of ethics and business conduct.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Field of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 6 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated abilities and proven success as a team leader and consultant for high net worth individuals in areas such as financial planning, wealth transfer planning, and business succession planning or trust and estate work.
- Comprehensive technical skills with Form 1040 for High Net Worth individuals and Form K1 production and compliance.
- Experience in identifying and addressing client needs, and acting as a business advisor to develop new relationships and sell new services with a "One Firm" service mindset.
- Familiarity with a CRM system.
- Knowledge and leadership in automation and digitization in a professional services environment.
- Innovating through new and existing technologies and experimenting with digitization solutions.
- Working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools.
- Utilizing digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements.
- Advancing pricing strategy through pricing tools and influencing a shift to alternative fee arrangements.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $119,300 - $328,000, with the potential for an annual discretionary bonus. The listed salary range applies to roles based in Maryland, and actual compensation will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, holiday pay, vacation, personal and family sick leave, and more.
