Job Title: Senior Product Counsel - Platform / AI
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and counseling on a wide array of matters such as data privacy and protection, product liability, intellectual property (IP), and regulatory compliance.
- Engage closely with product and engineering teams, data scientists, and the Futures team to develop and deploy innovative AI-powered experiences.
- Support the creation of delightful and innovative customer experiences while ensuring legal compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Enable and guide innovators in experimenting and building AI-powered experiences.
- Communicate regulatory obligations and risk management processes to business partners.
- Produce recommendations and legal analysis in novel situations.
- Balance risk and opportunity creatively to aid the business in making informed decisions.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 6 years of experience advising technology companies.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in data privacy and protection, IP, mobile and cloud computing, and consumer protection.
- Familiarity with the legal and ethical implications of AI, including technical understanding of AI systems, large language models, and machine learning.

Salary Information:

- Expected base pay range: Bay Area California $206,000 - $279,000; San Diego $203,000 - $275,000.
