Job Title: RCRA / CERCLA Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on compliance, permitting, and enforcement matters related to the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA).
- Represent clients in litigation, administrative proceedings, and regulatory negotiations.
- Develop and implement strategies for environmental remediation and site cleanup under CERCLA.
- Manage environmental due diligence in real estate and corporate transactions.
- Provide counsel on hazardous waste management and environmental liabilities.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- 10+ years of experience in practicing environmental law, with a strong focus on RCRA and CERCLA.
- Admitted to practice in the selected state or ability to be admitted by motion in that state.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Extensive environmental law experience and a deep understanding of compliance, litigation, and regulatory issues.
- Ability to perform complex environmental work with accuracy and timeliness.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
- A proven track record of handling complex regulatory and litigation matters.
- High motivation, goal-orientation, and comfort in working both independently and collaboratively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Good judgment and adherence to high ethical standards.
