Job Title: Sales Operations Analyst 5
Job Responsibilities:
The role of a Sales Operations Analyst 5 primarily involves negotiating and managing complex, high-value professional services and managed applications services contracts. The candidate will need to possess a blend of legal expertise, business acumen, and strong negotiation skills. Key responsibilities include:
- Negotiation and Drafting of Software Agreements: Engage with customers to structure favorable terms for both the company and client. Draft nonstandard contract terms to ensure favorable outcomes and mitigate risks for complex contracts, including professional services contracts, cloud service agreements, and partnership and reseller agreements.
- Financial Selling and Positioning: Collaborate with the sales team to review competitors, evaluate competitive price range, and target win price. Assist in preparing TCO/ROI analysis and support the sales team in positioning pricing with customers, including working with customer CIOs on positioning with CFOs/CEOs.
- Complex Pricing: Calculate solution prices by obtaining Bill of Materials from Solution Manager and reviewing pricing elements like labor, hardware, governance, and other factors to achieve target pricing.
- Risk Management: Assess and manage financial, operational, and legal risks associated with contracts. Advise stakeholders on potential risks and suggest modifications to protect the organization's interests.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as Sales, Product Management, Solution Architect, and Delivery to ensure contractual terms align with product offerings and strategic objectives.
- Contract Management: Oversee and manage the contract lifecycle from initial drafting to negotiation and final execution, while providing guidance to sales on understanding contract terms, including commercial, legal, and compliance considerations.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience negotiating and drafting complex technology agreements, preferably within the software, SaaS, or tech industries.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Having certifications such as Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) is beneficial.
- Juris Doctor (JD) or an advanced degree in Business (MBA) or Contract Management is preferred.
- Proven experience with licensing, SaaS agreements, software development contracts, and IP protection.
- Strong understanding of data privacy and security regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.) as they relate to SaaS and software.
Salary Information:
- The hiring range in the United States is from $97,500 to $199,500 per annum, with potential eligibility for bonuses and equity.
- The salary range accounts for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, as well as the company’s differing products, industries, and lines of business.
